SAVOY DANCERS PROFILES

More than twenty million people passed through the Savoy's doors before it closed from all walks of life and for many different reasons. An infinite number of stories could have been told about their experience there, but with the passage of time we have probably lost the great proportion of them. However dancing is good for you, especially this kind of dancing, and it has nevertheless played its part in keeping a significant number of Savoy dancers alive who are still able to share their memories.

This section of the site is devoted to individual profiles of Savoy Ballroom dancers of all kinds and we hope that it will encourage or even inspire as many others as possible to recall their former dancing days there and send them in to be included in this site. Alternatively you may be in possession of accounts that were passed down by those who have already passed away. This will be a great way of keeping memories alive.

The profiles are listed alphabetically. In other words there is nothing else to read into their order. The content is determined entirely by the material available to hand and each individual writer of the profile is responsible for what they have written.
