FAQ's | Staffing at the Savoy | Savoy art | Original descriptions

From day one the Savoy had to “look right.” And that went for the way the building “looked,” the way it “operated” and how both the staff and the ballroom’s customers presented themselves. The emphasis on “style” and “stylish” behaviour made the Savoy unique, and thus it is worth looking at how this was achieved.

Thus we need to look at the specific ways both management and staff operated in this respect, the general sense of artistic creativity the ballroom seemed to give rise to, along with some original descriptions of the way it was seen back in its days of operation.
